Join artist Casey Childs for a focused 7-week online course designed to elevate your oil-painting skills. Students will work on their own painting(s) throughout the class, receiving individualized weekly critiques and guidance on every stage of the technical and creative process.
The workshop begins with a full-day session dedicated to developing strong photographic references. Casey will refine each student’s reference in Photoshop, demonstrating his process live and providing you with an adjusted image to work from—no Photoshop knowledge or access required.
Weekly sessions alternate between painting demos and critique days, covering advanced techniques such as paint handling, color and value control, edges, brushwork, and developing form. Casey will also share practical advice on managing and sustaining a professional art career.
This workshop offers a rare opportunity for in-depth mentorship, personalized feedback, and direct instruction from a master painter—all from the comfort of your own studio.
This virtual workshop will be limited to 16 students—the recording will be available to students for 90 days following the workshop.
