Learn how to create a finished painting from a live model in this immersive four-day workshop. Casey will guide you through his full process—from designing a compelling pose and background to completing a refined oil painting.
Students will begin with quick thumbnails and a small color study, then move into drawing, blocking-in, and developing form using both direct observation and photo references they take themselves. By the end of the workshop, you’ll walk away with a strong understanding of composition, color harmony, and the techniques needed to turn a live model setup into a finished, expressive painting.
Artists will have the opportunity to work from a live model and will receive one-on-one instruction gaining a fuller knowledge of traditional portraiture. All little knowledge and experience with painting is helpful, but all are welcome.
This intensive workshop will be limited to 10 students.
