Many artists have a basic understanding of linear perspective, but don't fully comprehend how to apply it to a complex scene, especially one involving multiple figures. As well as using perspective to adjust camera distortion. This course will explain these concepts in an easily understandable way.  

Linear Perspective for Artists taught by artist and instructor Mark Stahmann
will cover the principle of linear perspective in theory including:

*How to compose figures in a believable space
*Understanding and avoiding photographic distortion
*The rules of perspective and their application
*Inclined planes, the circle, arches
*Pictorial composition
*Perspective of the sky and sea, shadows, and more

About the instructor

Mark Stahmann is an accomplished artist and instructor with extensive experience teaching linear perspective at the following locations: BYU Idaho (online), Broadview Entertainment Arts University. The Art Institute of Salt Lake City.

His art education includes: Angel Academy of Art (Florence, Italy), Art Center College of Design (Pasadena, CA), and Ricks College (Boise, ID).

Drawing pencils with various hardness ranging from 2H to 2B
Pencil Sharpener

OR
Pencils may be Lead Holders, sharpened with a lead pointer

Kneaded eraser
Polymer eraser
T-Square 18” to 24”
45/90 degree triangle 6” to 9”
30/60/90 degree triangle 6” to 9”
Drawing board with straight edge
Painter’s low adhesive tape
Tracing paper 11” x 14” to 18” x24”
Drawing pad 11” x 14” to 18” x 24” 70 lb smooth white
Various colored pencils
Sketchbook
