WORKSHOP MATERIALS LIST

I realize that the materials we use to create are a very individual thing, and I don’t feel it’s necessary to have you break the bank buying every single item I use for this workshop, so please bring whatever you feel comfortable using. If you’re curious what I’ll be using and want to try it, here’s my list:

Vasari Oil Colors - My preferred brand of oil paints are made by Vasari Classic Artists’ Oil Colors based out of NYC. I enjoy these high quality colors for their soft, buttery consistency and intense pigment.

Palette
I prefer to use a handheld palette, my favorite is made by New Wave Art. I use this one - Expressionist Confidant Natural Stain

Brushes
I use a variety of brushes, but mainly flats and filberts. Small to large soft brushes in flats, small to large bristles brushes in filberts.

My favorite brushes are made by Rosemary & Co based in England. Great people who make wonderful brushes. I have a basic and professional set available on their website. The only difference between the two are that there’s more sizes in the professional set. Find them here Rosemary & Co basic set, Rosemary & Co Professional Set I also like the bristles brushes from Silver (Silver Grand Prix) and Trekell

Painting Medium
The medium I like to use is Winsor and Newton Artist Painting Medium for Oil Colour. Remember to bring a medium cup!

Surfaces
You’ll need two canvases for this workshop. Size 12x16” - 14x18” I prefer to use Artefex panels. AllinPanel Acrylic Primed
